A Hacienda Resort – remodel

We are working on a number of projects and are excited about them!  The first is in Fullerton California, where we did a complete remodel on an early 1950’s home and made it an updated “Hacienda”! The client, told me that they could move anywhere, but they loved this home and the location and wanted to make it look and feel like a resort in Mexico!

We started at the back of the house in the master bathroom gutting it along with the closet. It was very small with their one an only closet attached to the bathroom area, so we relocated the closet to the laundry area and moved the laundry room into the hall. In order to get the laundry room to fit in the hallway, we niched into an oversized bedroom. This made a huge improvement for everyone concerned.

All of the bedrooms were redesigned with new furniture, paint, carpeting, baseboards and crown. New ceiling fans were installed. In two of the secondary bedrooms the closet were gutted, skinned with wood and upper cabinets with new doors and new skinned interiors. Flanking the fireplace, leaded glass windows were designed with arches creating beautiful focal points in the master bedroom.

Transforming the hall bath with a new tub, shower, vanity, and new tile, made all the difference in the world to our homeowners. Using Mexican natural stone and dark wood for the vanity the room now takes on a personality of its own.

Moving in to the living spaces, a brand new kitchen custom designed and built by the best! An oversized island, with granite and room for 7 bar stools! All the latest and greatest appliances in stainless steel have been installed and the a new large picture window over the kitchen sink. A large hacienda chandelier hangs over the island. Led recessed can lighting throughout the entire home. Two more leaded glass windows in the same design were added along the side wall in the kitchen. My general contractor said, he admired them for at least 30 minutes before he was, of course, called to do something else!

Wood floors throughout the living spaces including the bathroom, laundry room and hall, kitchen and living room.  The paint colors are burnt orange, dulled olive, canary island, antique lace, brown and red! We will be installing their furnishings and window treatment in about 2-3 weeks and this project will be completed.

Once I have professional pictures I will post them for you all to see! I will be posting the floor plan layout sometime tomorrow!  I hope you enjoy this as much I have!  Questions, please let me know!!!
